Adopting a rescued dog is a great act. However, there is a maximum number of dogs that an individual can have. It will depend on their ability to provide for them as well as their ability to care for them.
A woman named Melissa had adopted eight pets in total. Her spouse Jeff disapproves of her choice. This has led to tensions between them. However, this is simply one of the many issues.
The turmoil they cause in the couple’s life is the worst drawback of having eight dogs. Melissa does not know how to properly train and discipline each dog. Victoria Stilwell, a professional dog trainer, stepped up at this point to assist them.
The dog trainer delivered a severe lecture on dog ownership to the couple. She inquired as to Melissa and Jeff’s willingness to completely comply with her. Otherwise, she would have no reason to be there.
Jeff agreed to be agreeable on the condition that Melissa never acquires another dog. Melissa consented immediately. Victoria stated that they must first focus on teaching the dogs. If they desired to continue assisting other canines, they may do it in alternative ways.
Victoria established the couple’s ground rules. The first guideline is that they accept responsibility. They must also collaborate, establish boundaries, and be consistent. Finally, Melissa and Jeff must appreciate one another and their respective dogs.
Victoria began by addressing the dogs’ disorderly responses. When someone opens the door, everyone rushes out and jumps around. The trainer dealt with the problem by waiting for the dogs to calm down. She did not unlock the door until each dog was calm.
Melissa was astonished by Victoria’s training method. She was then requested to recount what she observed. After numerous attempts, Melissa was eventually able to soothe her pets like Victoria.
The training at the entrance was simply the start. Victoria was still had to handle unique concerns for each of the eight pets.
