One man in Kansas City, Missouri noticed a box on the snowy ground one winter. He went to check it out of pure curiosity and discovered two frozen puppies inside it.
The puppies were freezing and didn’t move. Despite not knowing if the two freezing small puppies would make it out alive, the unknown man took them to the KC Pet Project’s facility. KC Pet Project is a group focused on saving animals’ lives.
When the man actually arrived at the shelter, the staff gave the two puppies the medical attention they required right away. The veterinarians worked tirelessly to keep the puppies warm and provide them with the necessary fluids.
KC Pet Project expressed their gratitude for the compassionate individual who discovered the box in an abandoned lot on their official Facebook page. The shelter workers also commended him for going above and beyond by rushing the puppies to them to provide them the attention they needed.
Apart from praising the man’s bravery, the shelter workers thanked the veterinarians who worked tirelessly to get the puppies’ temperatures back to normal. They also expressed gratitude to the members of the canine care team who brought the puppies home for observation and care overnight.
Though majority of the employees were concerned about the puppies’ survival, they are happy to report that their combined efforts saved the young pups. They gladly reported that the puppies slept through the night, ate the next morning, and relaxed all day.
Before moving the puppies to a foster home for rehabilitation, the volunteers stated they would monitor them for a few more days to ensure that they were in good health. The puppies will be available for adoption as soon as they have fully recovered in their foster home.
The KC Pet Project expressed gratitude for all of the wonderful gifts to their Roadrunner Medical Fund, which enabled them to continue to support animals in need.
