Papa Kleb is a YouTube content creator who loves to do good things for dogs. In a video uploaded back in 2018, he went to a high-kill shelter and adopted a pit bull. Ever since that day, the dog became part of his everyday vlogs.
The video started with Kleb going to a local shelter to look for a suitable dog to adopt. That shelter has a high rate of euthanasia. That means that if the shelter has no more rooms and not enough dogs get adopted frequently, many of them will get euthanized.
Kleb saw a brown pit bull named Martina. She was docile and a bit shy. She allowed Kleb to touch and pet her. After a while, Kleb asked a shelter staff to take Martina out of the cage so he can observe how she behaves.
It was obvious that Martina was excited to step outside her cage. She was pacing back and forth. She had no idea that Kleb was about to adopt her.
Kleb signed the papers, and the adoption was a success. Kleb took her out for a walk and put her in the back seat of his car after that. Kleb got some fast food before driving back home.
Martina was obviously feeling great. It’s the very first time in five years that she had the freedom to go out and be with a loving owner. Kleb was surprised to see Martina struggling to climb the stairs. It’s as if she has never set foot inside a house before.
Kleb gave Martina a bath and showed her around the house. He checked what type of commands she understood. Martina knows how to sit and come close. However, she doesn’t recognize her own name.
Since Martina doesn’t respond to her own name, Kleb decided to rename her to Bailey. It will be a while before the pit bull responds to her new name. However, since this video was uploaded a few years ago, it’s safe to say that Bailey acknowledges her name now.
