A Chihuahua mix called Nessie McNubbins was born without any front legs. It’s suspected that her appearance is a result of neglectful breeding. Yet Nessie wouldn’t let that stop her from living the best life a dog can have.
Nessie was at a shelter during the first eight years of her life. She was adopted and returned three different times, and she couldn’t understand why nobody kept her. Luckily, her family decided to keep Nessie in a loving home with other dogs with special needs.
Theresa Loyacano noticed Nessie’s photo on social media. According to her, it was like destiny because she had the feeling that she needs to adopt the pup as soon as she can. When she reached out to the shelter, they weren’t very hopeful because of the previous adoptions. Fortunately, Loyacano is the perfect match for Nessie.
Loyacano loves Nessie so much that she shared the life of her beautiful dog in the world. She set up social media pages for Nessie, where she posts many adorable videos and photos of her dog’s adventures. Although Nessie now has wheels that help her get around, she still prefers hopping on her own.
Since Loyocano adopted Nessie, she realized that she loves to help dogs in need. Just after a year later, she adopted another dog named Frankie Lou. Frankie Lou is a giant pooch who has the same condition as Nessie. Loyacano adopted Frankie Lou when she was still a small pup, so her family watched her learn how to move around with just two legs.
Frankie Lou and Nessie had that special friendship instantly. According to Loyacano, Nessie doesn’t play much when she was the only canine. Yet as soon as they had Frankie Lou, her playful side emerged. She finally has someone who understands her.
