On a farm in South Korea, a farmer grew peppers and vegetables. He also raised ducks near a pond on his property. To keep him company, he lives with a bulldog named Moongchi.
Moongchi loves playing with the ducks. Whenever Moongchi catches one of the ducks, it likes to hold the duck down and wrestles with it. The ducks were terrified of the dog and try to avoid it by swimming into the pond. The pond was the only place where the ducks have the advantage.
The chase continues in the pond
But Moongchi also knows how to swim. The dog can swim in pursuit of the ducks all day long. Lucky for the ducks, they swim faster than the dog. They just need to keep moving to keep Moongchi behind them.
The farmer gets worried not only for the welfare of the ducks but also for the health of Moongchi. He was concerned that his dog might get too exhausted swimming that it might drown. He needed a way to persuade his dog to lose interest in the ducks.
From the beginning, Moongchi was always the one chasing. The farmer needed something to chase Moongchi for a change. He used a remote-controlled toy boat to chase Moongchi whenever the dog was in the pond.
Chasing the dog out of the water
The next day, as soon as Moongchi dives into the pond, the farmer chased the dog with the little boat. Moongchi got scared and confused that it immediately swam to shore and got out of the water. The ducks are now safe from Moongchi as long as they stay on the pond.
Since Moongchi loves to swim, the farmer still allows the dog to swim but this time he gave his dog a toy wooden duck to chase. This is the only time the toy boat won’t chase Moongchi and can play with the toy duck in peace.
At last, the farmer solved his dog and duck problem. The ducks can live in peace and the dog can still swim but only when the farmer allows it.
