In LA County, a litter of newborn puppies was found under their dead mother. The person who found them took them in because they were strays. Later on, they were taken in by a dog lover and pet groomer named Clanay Reza.
The puppies were only three days old at that time. Unfortunately, four of the puppies died, and only one remained. Clanay named him Lucky.
At first, Clanay thought that Lucky would not make it. The puppy was so weak and covered in fleas and ticks. Clanay spent many sleepless nights watching over him and praying he would live to see the next day.
Lucky had a strong will to live and kept improving as each day passed. Everyone in the family, especially Clanay’s brother Bobby, was so pleased to see him open his eyes for the first time.
Clanay’s siblings started to love animals because Lucky entered their lives. Bobby was constantly there while Lucky was growing up, so they formed a special bond.
When Lucky got a little older, Clanay took him to a specialist. She learned that the puppy was an Albino Pekingese mix, and his right eye was blind. Eventually, he lost his right eye due to a melting ulcer when he was four months old. Nevertheless, he quickly bounced back after losing his eye, and it did not stop him from enjoying his life.
Lucky had a big personality in a small body. When he started to walk, he also became very expressive and opinionated. Clanay knew that he was going to be a handful.
Lucky faced many challenging health issues, but Clanay did not give up on him. She knew the puppy possessed a strong spirit to live a full and happy life.
Taking care of Lucky taught Clanay that life is precious and should not be taken for granted.
