A dog named Somang joined his family when he was just 2 1/2 months old. He loved his mom and dad so much and he always found a way to keep them entertained. But with so much love in his heart, he needed to shower other people with his affection, too.
Somang’s parents rent their vacation home to guests who wish to take time off from their busy lifestyle. The serene surrounding and the clear lake make it perfect for any person who wants to take time off. And with the number of visitors, they usually get, their dog couldn’t help but try and make friends with them.
Unfortunately, Somang’s ginormous size intimidated people. They thought that because he was such a big dog, it’s dangerous to be around him. He felt sad when he realized guests didn’t like him, so he found a way to change their wrong impression of him.
In an attempt to get the guests’ attention, Somang wagged his tail like crazy and carried his food bowl in his mouth. And out of nowhere, people found it so cute. They cheered, and from that day, they began befriending him.
Somang realized that when he had his bowl in his mouth, people loved him. And so, it soon became a hobby. Any time someone was around, even if it was his mom or dad, he always picked up his bowl and refused to exchange it for anything else.
The dog’s obsession over his bowl puzzled the members of an animal welfare group so they had to know what’s behind his odd behavior. They tried to take his bowl away from him and he simply grabbed a pot in exchange. He just has to have something in his mouth every time someone came by to say hi.
But while it certainly looked adorable, people also worried that biting his bowl might cause health issues in the long run. And so, they brought in a vet to have Somang checked. And thankfully, his teeth were great and he was in perfect shape.
Now that people know Somang is simply a huge dog with a puppy heart, his dad started to gradually lessen his obsession over his bowl. Rather, he began playing with a ball and chew toy, and it certainly did not make him less than adorable.
