Crackers, a five-month-old Labrador and St. Bernard cross, has always been known as a headstrong pup who loves to play all day. He is very persistent and energetic and never takes no for an answer, especially when it comes to hanging out with his fur buddies next door.
So to keep the spirited pup happy, his fur dad, Jessie Matney, typically takes him on nightly walks with the next-door dogs, who also happen to be his sister’s pets. Crackers is always the giddiest whenever he knows it’s time for their walk, and he seems content with this setup.
However, Jessie discovers that this isn’t the case at all. You see, Crackers and his cousins actually want to spend all day together. And since only a picket fence separates their yards, they will often try removing the pickets and squeezing through the gaps.
When Jessie first learned this, one of his sister’s dogs, Punkin, had successfully made it to his yard, while another one was stuck between the fence. The fur dad immediately fixed the broken barrier, but somehow, this “jailbreak” still happened four more times.
During the dogs’ last attempt, Jessie made sure to hammer the pickets real good to avoid more incidents like this from happening again. Unfortunately, Crackers and his equally naughty cousins recently found a way to bring the fence down yet again.
That day, Jessie heard an alarming bark in his yard. When he went to see what was wrong, he found a picket on the ground and his sister’s three pets squeezed between the gap. As it turned out, one of the next-door dogs pushed the picket loose; then Crackers pulled it all the way down to finish the job.
Unfortunately for them, they weren’t as stealthy as they hoped, so Jessie ended up foiling their plans. The fur dad knew this wouldn’t be the end of it, though, so he decided to start stocking up on pickets just in case. Look at the dogs’ hilarious stunt here.
