Sierra and Jayden were driving across the Utah desert one day when they spotted a stray dog named Birdie running across the freeway. The pup was barely evading traffic and could get seriously hurt, so without hesitation, the young couple made a U-turn and came back to look for her.
Fortunately, they didn’t have a hard time finding Birdie as she willingly approached their car. That was when Sierra and Jayden noticed that she didn’t look like a stray dog at all. In fact, it was as if she was somebody’s pet as she seemed taken care of.
Realizing that she might have just gotten lost, the couple decided to look for her home and ended up discovering where she lived. Unfortunately, her previous owners revealed that they didn’t want her anymore, so they turned her over to Sierra and Jayden.
The couple would have loved to adopt her, but their apartment didn’t allow dogs. In the end, they had to reach out to one of their friends, who then recommended Brianna Madia. When Brianna heard about Birdie, she was initially hesitant to take her in.
She had two senior dogs at home, and she wasn’t sure how they would react to an energetic canine joining the pack. Nonetheless, Brianna couldn’t say no to the adorable pup, so she offered to foster Birdie until they found her a suitable home.
However, it didn’t take long for the rambunctious pup to become a foster fail. You see, just a few short weeks after bringing Birdie home, Brianna decided to make the puppy a permanent part of her family. It was after she noticed how well she got along with her two dogs, and she knew she couldn’t take her away from them.
The pup also seems to love her fur mom’s nomadic lifestyle as they often spend months living and traveling in a van. Although Birdie’s story started with her owners essentially abandoning her, she is now living a life of adventure and love. Watch her story here.
