A woman went to an animal shelter in Phoenix, Arizona to adopt a three-month-old dog named Bubba. Bubba’s mom also had a roommate who rescued a litter of kittens that needed to be adopted until they were old enough for adoption.
Bubba got used to cats and developed an endless affection for them. Bubba’s mom knew that her dog would love to have a kitty sibling, but she waited until they have settled comfortably in their new home in New York.
Bubba’s mom sent adoption applications for any kitten available, but she did not get any feedback from any of them. She eventually received an email from a shelter in Brooklyn about a litter of seven-week-old kittens available for adoption, so she decided to check it out.
Bubba’s mom went to Brooklyn the following morning to adopt a kitten despite not knowing what they looked like because she knew that Bubba is ready for a kitty sibling. Bubba’s human mama knew it was meant to be when she saw an orange kitten that looked just like Bubba, so she decided to adopt her and named her Rue.
The woman knew that Bubba would be ecstatic when she gets home with Rue, and she could not be any happier after seeing Bubba’s reaction. Bubba looked so thrilled, and he kept watching Rue climb all over her lap.
Bubba treated Rue as gentle as he could because he knows that she is a fragile little kitty. Rue and Bubba instantly bonded after meeting one another and became inseparable.
Bubba loved grooming Rue every chance he gets, while Rue wanted to snuggle with Bubba 24/7. Bubba took the role of becoming Rue’s big brother seriously, and he made sure that Rue would be safe whenever she goes out or drinks in the water bowl that was twice his sister’s size.
