When a dog and a toddler grow up together, a most unique bond is forged. It’s unbreakable and benefits your child more than you might know.
However, a puppy basset hound named Leroy, and his toddler best friend Maverick took that bond to the next level right when they decided to team up and go all “Mission Impossible” on their fridge.
The Leroy and Maverick tandem
Leroy and Maverick are about the same age. They’re buddies through and through—in good times and, more often, in mischief too.
Leroy, a one-year-old basset hound, likes to stay close to Maverick mostly because he likes stealing his human’s snacks and toys. And Maverick, his two-year-old best friend, doesn’t mind at all.
They’re practically inseparable, almost like twins.
Mission impossible: raid that fridge
Maverick, now out of snacks, decided he was old enough to get some himself. But, he couldn’t reach the fridge handles.
Of course, Leroy was nearby as always, so they joined forces for a noble purpose—to feed the hungry, or their hungry stomachs rather.
So Maverick pulled on Leroy’s collar and positioned him by the fridge. Leroy, though he doesn’t usually follow instructions well yet, was surprisingly happy to oblige.
The A-team succeeds. Well, sort of
Maverick climbed onto Leroy, reached for the fridge handles, and opened it. After slipping, Maverick climbs back up, this time, balancing well on Leroy’s back.
A few seconds later, Leroy walks away leaving Maverick hanging by the fridge.
Looks like Leroy missed the mission briefing earlier.
But, don’t worry. This won’t be the last we’ll hear from our favorite Leroy and Maverick tandem. With a little more training, Leroy will be able to do more for Maverick soon.
They’ve got every day of their lives together to plan many more mischiefs anyway.
For now, witness their mischief below and enjoy.
