We’ve been best buds with our doggos for thousand of years already. We used to train them to guard our belongings or help us herd our sheep or cattle. But over the centuries, our pups have taken on new roles in our lives, and sometimes they can surprise us with how they can help us.
In the viral video below, this corgi helped his human dad to shovel snow from their driveway. Obviously, the pooch couldn’t use a shovel to do the task himself. So, the pooch found another way to help his beloved human. Dogs can help us in multiple ways, and sometimes, they could be our cheerleaders.
That is exactly what this cheerful canine did for his human. While his dad did the shoveling, the pooch was right in front of him, doing backflips every time snow is being thrown his way. We don’t know about you, but if our dog did that, it would definitely make us smile from ear to ear.
It should also be noted how acrobatic this corgi is. Dogs can be pretty athletic, depending on their breed, but not too many of them can do backflips. As we watched the clip, we noticed that the pooch isn’t intentionally doing the backflips. Rather, he’s trying to catch the snow being thrown over his head.
This makes him jump up in the air and tilt his head back. He then proceeds to complete a backflip so that he wouldn’t land on his back. Intentional or not, it is still pretty impressive how this doggo can do them many times in succession. This furry acrobat could make gymnasts make a run for their money.
Even though he’s not physically helping his dad, we still consider this as a big help. It’s winter, and there’s plenty of snow in many areas. Shoveling snow could be a tedious task, but if you have a playful doggo like him to entertain you while you do the chore, it makes the task more enjoyable.
