San Lorenzo resident Debbie Campbell was on the lookout for her missing dog, Brody. The family looked high and low for the animal and even posted about it on social media. However, the dog was sadly still nowhere to be found.
The family was ready to give up hope, until one day, a phone call from Tijuana came in. The caller’s name was Benjamin Gonzalez. He said that he might have Brody in his hands.
Debbie was skeptical, but Benjamin managed to reassure her by taking a photo of the dog’s tattoo and sending it to her. Once she had the picture, Debbie realized that the French dog was really Brody. She felt both happy and relieved.
Benjamin revealed that he had bought the dog in Tijuana a few weeks ago. He said that he saw a man selling Brody for $2,000. He offered $1,000 for the dog and took him home right away.
Benjamin clarified that he did not know of the dog’s circumstances. It was not until his family saw a missing dog poster on Facebook that they realized the truth. Everything became clear, and the family realized why Brody was always sad and distressed.
After learning of the dog’s location, Debbie’s son didn’t waste any time, and he immediately drove to San Diego. Everything went smoothly, and soon the dog returned home. When Brody went missing, his family was so anxious that they feared the worst.
But fortunately, everything turned out alright, and they all celebrated his safe return. They might not know how the dog ended up in Mexico, but they suspected that the thieves were probably responsible for the dog’s disappearance. The Campbells believe the thieves intended to sell their dog for a high price.
They feel like they owe Benjamin money for Brody, so they wanted to offer him more, but he refused to accept their generosity.
