Seven months ago, a curious woman, Leah Saunders Goldstein, was driving just near her house in Florida when something strange caught her eye.
Above a tree, written in large block letters, was a sign.
Somebody, for whatever reason, wanted to let people know that their calm dog (or dogs) climbs tall trees and that they’re just fine. It looked like a random message to share with the whole world. Like “OK?” But then, it all made sense immediately with some added context.
According to Goldstein, she was reading the sign, and then, before she knew it, a dog was also there. She was shocked.
Goldstein was shocked to see an arboreal Chihuahua in the nearby neighborhood. However, as it happened, it’s exactly where the dog belongs. Her name is Daisy, and she lives in the house right on that corner.
Lisa Levine, as well as her family, adopted Daisy just last year and shortly came to learn that she is a tree-loving dog. After being taken out into their backyard for one of her first times, Daisy figured out that she could climb that tree and keep an eye on the world beyond.

However, people passing by assumed that Daisy was stuck. Levine said a neighbor told them their pup was in the tree. That was how it all started.
Some days, small groups of people would gather underneath the tree, worried that the dog could not get down. One day, a particular group even decided to give 911 a call for help. Passersby knocking on the Levine family’s door became a regular thing.
According to Levine, she was grateful for their concern and told them that Daisy was fine. They looked at her, thinking she was crazy. The truth is, though, Daisy doesn’t get stuck. She manages to scale up and down the tree effortlessly on her own.
To ease future concerns regarding Daisy in the tree, a friend of the Levine family decided to let them make that sign. With that, people have stopped worrying very much about Daisy. However, it has always continued the inquiries.
Levine said that when Daisy is not in the tree, people request them to let their dog out so they can see her. Daisy is the cutest little thing ever. The tree-loving dog has no plan of stopping her strange three-climbing ways.
And Goldstein, recently enlightened about Daisy’s backstory, is happy to know that a pup is watching the neighborhood right from above. She said that they feel a lot safer with Daisy on watch.
