Oso is a Pit Bull who is changing the way people think about his breed. He’s famous for being cuddly, and he has his looks to help him because Oso’s adoptive parents say he looks like a fluffy teddy bear.
He loves sleeping on his back, belly up, all four legs sticking straight out. He’s also not an energetic and adventurous pittie, as he loves to lounge around and be carried like a koala.
I have never seen a pittie quite like him, so I’m pretty sure he’ll change the way people perceive his breed to be. With Oso being sweet and cuddly, pitties will soon be associated with this dog’s image, and that’s a great thing!
What separates Oso from other pitties is that he doesn’t embody the stereotype of the breed. For years, pit bulls have been given a bad rap for being aggressive and dangerous dogs.
However, Oso is shattering that stereotype by being the polar opposite of what people expect a pit bull to be. He’s gentle, loving, and affectionate, which are qualities that are not typically attributed to pit bulls.
Not only is Oso redefining what it means to be a pit bull, but he’s also showing us that it’s humans’ preconceived notions that keep us from experiencing the uniqueness of dogs as individuals. Too often, people are quick to judge a dog based on its breed without getting to know the individual dog first.
However, Oso is proving that dogs should be judged on their own merits rather than being lumped into preconceived notions about their respective breeds. Generalizations regarding dogs and their supposed behaviors should be stopped!
The best part is that Oslo isn’t even aware that he’s helping his breed’s reputation just by being sweet and cuddly. Mad props for not being scared to let your true personality shine!
